Quartz in lighter hues is indeed the material of choice for the contemporary design of wall and floor surfaces. Santamargherita’s research and evolution in terms of colours and processing keeps in step with modern styles.

The snowy veins of Lyskamm, the mountain on the border between Italy and Switzerland, have given rise to a mellow hue that is used to its best advantage on the walls or floors of the kitchen area. With daring combinations of materials and colours, I decided to flaunt quartz in another area of the house. Plus, I decided to bring new life to SM Quartz – Lyskamm by turning it into the top of my table in the living room.

I love collecting fragments of everyday life, I always try to learn from experience, as varied as it may be. I love working surrounded by graceful yet bold elegance. A flower, a poem, the cold glossy surface of quartz, my magazines: when I create a new project everything around me must speak the language of beauty.

I always love reading up about things and learn from what I see. Interior decoration, lights, objects, landscapes – everything I chance upon and that strikes me always ends up in my projects, it’s just a matter of time.

I wanted a new look for a valuable material like quartz in a setting that reflects its beauty. Delicate veins, iridescent reflections, light patterns and lines enhance the harmonious relationship between matter and the space I live in.
